The City of Santa Rosa is opening a warming center in response to this atmospheric river event. It will be open today and tomorrow from 7 PM to 7 AM at the Homeless Services Center of Catholic Charities’ Caritas Center in downtown Santa Rosa on 6th Street. The Caritas Center has indoor space and outdoor space warmed by radiant heaters to host up to 90 people. The city is also providing several tips to be ready for today’s storm, including a reminder to avoid standing water on roadways, staying clear of and reporting downed power lines and trees, and making sure your emergency kit is ready to go with a radio.
