Nearly 20,000 Customers in Sonoma County Still Without Power

The North Bay, especially west Sonoma County, is reeling after heavy rain and damaging winds. Tens of thousands of homes and businesses were without power on Monday, and, according to PG&E, many are still without it today. Sonoma County currently has just under 20-thousand customers without power . The Sonoma County Office of Education kept 32 schools closed on Monday, mostly due to power outages or blocked access. The strongest wind gust this storm brought to Sonoma County was recorded on Sunday. Cobb Mountain’s western ridge above Cloverdale felt a gust of 95-miles-per-hour. Pablo Point in Marin County recorded a gust of 102-miles-per-hour. Both gusts were hurricane-force.
