A Santa Rosa resident recently convicted of murdering a man from Windsor will be sentenced on March 7th. Last Tuesday, 35-year-old Juan Martinez pleaded no contest to both the counts of murder and posing as a kidnapper to commit extortion. He is facing 20 years to life in prison. The victim was found buried in a shallow grave near Forestville in June of 2022. Martinez was arrested eight days after the man was reported missing.
