A Clearlake woman has been arrested for attempted vehicle theft in Petaluma. Last Monday, a 41-year-old woman later identified as Krystle Hogan approached a 74-year-old man walking to his vehicle and asked him for a ride. When he refused, Hogan pushed him away from his ride parked near O’Reilly Auto Parts on East Washington Street. After hitting him multiple times in the chest, she attempted to steal the car but it wouldn’t start. Hogan then brandished a screwdriver after the victim confronted her. He attempted to call 911 before Hogan grabbed his cellphone and ran away. A witness called police and Hogan was arrested at a nearby CVS.
