Woman Rescued from Russian River Arrested for Assaulting Two Deputies Trying to Rescue Her

There is a new development in the rescue of a woman in the Russian River near Guerneville. After she was saved on Sunday afternoon, Lacey Lee Mosher was arrested, after allegedly attacking her rescuers. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office says Mosher was combative with the sergeant and the deputy who went into the deep, fast-moving water to help her, adding that they both “came close to losing their lives.” She is also accused of assaulting first responders and medical personnel who were trying to treat her. Mosher remains behind bars on suspicion of threatening police, battery and being under the influence of drugs. The sergeant and the deputy were treated at the scene and released.
