Thousands Join In for the Napa Valley Marathon Over the Weekend

About six-thousand people took part in Sunday’s 45th annual Napa Valley Marathon, half-marathon, or 5K. They came from 48 states, plus Washington D.C., and ten countries. It was also a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. Two San Francisco residents won the marathon. Twenty-four-year-old Michael Vernau won the men’s division with a time of about two hours and 33 minutes. Twenty-three-year-old Stephanie Finley won the women’s division with a time of about two hours, 49 minutes.
