Santa Rosa Police Investigating Mother and Son’s Deaths in Apartment

A woman and her 10-year-old son were found dead inside an east Santa Rosa apartment Wednesday morning. Officers found them just before 8am at the Spring Lake Apartments on Summerfield Road across from Howarth Park. Neither of their names have been released, and Santa Rosa Police have not yet determined if their deaths were accidental or involved a homicide or suicide. The two lived at the apartment where they were discovered. Investigators are interviewing several people and autopsies are expected later this week.
