More payments are coming from the Fire Victim Trust. Up till now, victims have received up to 60-percent of their claims in the 2015 Butte Fire, the 2017 North Bay wildfires and the 2018 Camp Fire. Now new payments starting April 25th will bump that up to 66-percent. The last of the PG&E stock that was given to the trust was sold off in December for $1.2-billion dollars. That left the trust with more than $14-billion dollars for victims with $11.2-billion being paid out so far. However, that is still short of victims’ claims of $19.2-billion. There will be at least one more payout, however the size and timing of it will depend on resolving negotiations over the last undecided claims.
