It is now the prosecution’s turn to question one of the suspects accused of shooting a man to death outside of the Whiskey Tip nightclub in Roseland in 2021. The suspect, Ednie Afamasaga, and another man, are accused of shooting Kenneth McDaniel to death in the parking lot. Earlier this week, Afamasaga told the court he was shot by McDaniel outside of another bar while working as bouncer in 2018. On Thursday, prosecutors presented records showing Afamasaga feigned ignorance when police interviewed him after the 2018 shooting. He admitted to not wanting to cooperate with police, saying he didn’t want to get anyone in trouble. McDaniel was never arrested for the 2018 shooting.
