Garage fire at 200 block of 7th Street in Petaluma 3-25-24 (Petaluma Fire Department)
A garage has been red tagged after catching fire near downtown Petaluma. On Monday afternoon, callers reported a structure fire in the 200 block of Seventh Street which turned out to be coming from a detached garage of a two-story home. Firefighters responded and were able to get control of the flames within 10 minutes. After the fire, city officials red tagged the garage limiting its use. No injuries were reported and firefighters are still investigating the cause.
