Today’s solar eclipse is expected to peak at about 35 percent in Santa Rosa. It will begin at 10:15 a.m., peak at 11:14 a.m. and conclude at 12:15 p.m. It will appear as is someone took a bite out of about a third of the bottom of the sun. An area in a diagonal, northeast direction from Texas to Maine, is in the path of totality and will see the moon totally cover the sun for a little more than four minutes.
