A girl has been arrested in connection with a threat that prompted a lockdown of Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park. The Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District says a specific student was threatened via text message on Monday. School police say the suspect, a girl from Santa Rosa, made mention of a weapon and the victim’s location at Rancho Cotate High School. A lockdown, which turned into a shelter-in-place order, was lifted after nearly three hours once police determined the girl who made the threat was not on campus or in the city. Investigators say the threat is related to an off-campus fight involving several students from schools across Sonoma County.
