Santa Rosa Chop Shop Gets Shutdown by Auto Theft Task Force

A Santa Rosa chop shop has been busted up. On March 22nd, the Sonoma County Auto Theft Task Force, along with deputies and detectives from the Sonoma Sheriff, served a search warrant on an unlicensed vehicle repair shop in Santa Rosa. Dozens of vehicles were found in various states of repair or destruction. Seven vehicles were identified as stolen and they had various parts and components removed, altered identification numbers, or were in the process of being destroyed to hide their true identity. Two people were arrested on charges related to vehicle theft and running a chop shop: 21-year-old Pablo Gonzalez Rojas and 33-year-old Leonardo Sanchez Roman.
