Three Rohnert Park Restaurant Servers Caught Serving Minors During Decoy Operation

Three Rohnert Park restaurant servers were cited for selling alcohol to minors. The citations were made during a minor decoy operation last Friday in which minors under the direct supervision of police attempt to purchase alcohol from various establishments. The operation was carried out by Rohnert Park Public Safety Officers along with an agent of the California Alcoholic Beverage Control or ABC, and the Cotati Police Department. Those who sold to the minor face a minimum fine of $250, and/or 24 to 32 hours of community service for a first violation. In addition, ABC will take administrative action against the alcoholic beverage license of the business where alcohol was sold to a minor. This could include a fine, a license suspension, or the permanent revocation of the license.
