More than two dozen people who protested on the Golden Gate Bridge are being released from jail. The San Francisco district attorney says she has no choice but to let them go since it will be several days before she decides whether to charge them. The group was arrested Monday after blocking traffic for hours as part of a coordinated effort across the Bay Area and nationwide over the war in the Middle East. The DA pointed out the suspects could end up working out a plea deal like the Bay Bridge protesters from November.
