Petaluma city officials are in the process of shutting down a downtown bar after a patron was allegedly beaten by bouncers. The five hired security guards were arrested last Saturday night, following an incident with a man at Jamison’s Roaring Donkey. Assistant City Attorney Jordan Green says, on May 14th, Petaluma officials will be going to the city Planning Commission to ask for the bar’s conditional use permit to be revoked. Green says Jamison’s Roaring Donkey has still not submitted an approved comprehensive security plan, which the conditional use permit requires it to have. And, without a conditional use permit, the bar cannot legally serve alcohol.
