A man who was killed in a tractor accident at a ranch in Santa Rosa has been identified as 83-year-old James Bettiga Jr. Bettiga, a Sonoma resident, was found dead on April 29th after being run over by a tractor at his daughter’s ranch. The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office says he likely died from blunt-force trauma. The California Highway Patrol believes Bettiga tried to get out of the tractor, wasn’t able to get his legs over the gear shift, put the tractor into gear, then fell down.
