Avelo to Offer Free Wine-Transporting Service for Flights Out of Sonoma County Airport

Another airline at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport is offering a “wine travels free” program. Starting Saturday, Avelo passengers whose flights originate from the Santa Rosa airport may check in one free case of wine. Avelo defines one case of wine as a single box or case containing up to 12 bottles, weighing 50 pounds or less. Passengers will be responsible for packaging their wine. This makes Avelo the second airline to have this perk at the Charles M. Schulz Airport as Alaska Airlines has been offering travelers a free wine-transporting service since 2007. You must be enrolled in Alaska’s mileage plan membership to take part, while Avelo’s offer is free for anyone flying non-stop out of Sonoma County.
