A Point Arena man was found dead on the side of a cliff along the Mendocino County Coast. Last Wednesday, the Marin County Sheriff’s office reported that 76-year-old Gregory Noyes of Point Arena was missing. Then, on Friday morning, state park peace officers found Noyes’ vehicle in a parking lot at Jug Handle State National Reserve, where it had been parked for days. Officials found a large brimmed-hat resting on a cliff facing the Pacific Ocean. On the edge below the cliff was Noyes’ body. It is believed that Noyes fell off the cliff accidentally and no foul play is suspected.
