A man from Santa Rosa says he shot his mother’s boyfriend in self-defense. That’s what 19-year-old Troy Henry told a judge on Tuesday. Henry is charged with murder in the death of 34-year-old Seamus Gilshenan last December. Henry says he found Gilshenan in his and his mother’s apartment and demanded he leave, adding that he was trying to protect himself. Henry is having a preliminary hearing to determine if there’s enough evidence for him to stand trial.
