Richard Allen Davis, the man who abducted 12-year-old Polly Klaas out of a Petaluma home in 1993, has been denied a resentencing by Santa Clara County Judge Benjamin Williams on Friday. 69-year-old Davis was condemned to death row for the notorious killing. Marc Klaas and other opponents were upset that Davis even got a consideration. After the hearing, Marc Klaas called Davis’ attempt to reduce his sentence “ridiculous” and praised the judge’s decision.
