A professional rock climber who grew up in Santa Rosa has been sentenced to life in federal prison for sexually assaulting a woman at Yosemite National Park. Charles Barrett, who is now 40-years-old, committed the crimes while living and working at the park in the summer of 2016. In February, he was convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual abuse and one count of abusive sexual contact. Federal prosecutors say Barrett sexually assaulted a woman three times in one weekend. Three other women also testified that he sexually assaulted them.
