Items confiscated from Alvaro Hurtado-Diaz (Santa Rosa Police)
Santa Rosa police have arrested a drug trafficker who was targeting kids. In April, police began to investigate 32-year-old Alvaro Hurtado-Diaz of Cotati for possible drug sales. As they investigated, police found Diaz was selling various drugs online through social media apps commonly used by teenagers such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Telegram. Diaz accepted payments through other social media applications such as CashApp and Venmo. After arresting Diaz before he allegedly was about to sell to a minor, police searched his vehicles and residences and found marijuana products, THC vape pens, cocaine, and psilocybin mushrooms. They found several firearms including an AR-15 rifle and a stolen handgun.
