ATV Accident in Lake County Kills Man and Injures Child

A man has died and son injured after an ATV accident in Lake County. On Saturday evening, 41-year-old Yan Gilmeev was driving an ATV with his son north on Bartlett Springs Road and lost control on a curve just north of High Valley Road. The ATV went off the road and went down an embankment and flipped, forcing the two passengers off the vehicle. The boy managed to walk away and stopped a passerby who called 911.He was airlifted to a hospital. Gilmeev, however, was pronounced dead at the site.
