A man accused of shooting another man to death during a fight at Lake Berryessa has been charged with first-degree murder. Twenty-five-year-old Gabriel Chavez of American Canyon was also charged with three counts of assault on Tuesday. He is accused of killing 39-year-old Andres Sandoval Garcia from Vallejo on Saturday afternoon, during a fight in a parking lot on the lake’s western shore. Chavez and another person were stabbed during the fight. Prosecutors also say Chavez punched Sandoval Garcia twice while he was unconscious and pushed a woman down before pointing a gun at her.
