Petaluma commuters might experience some traffic issues crossing the D Street Bridge Thursday morning and Friday morning. The City of Petaluma’s Turning Basin Dock Replacement project is in full swing, and the contractor will be moving equipment in via the Petaluma River. This will cause two bridge openings, which actually raises the bridge to let larger vessels through, scheduled for this morning and tomorrow morning, beginning at 6 AM. Police ask drivers to use alternate routes as they anticipate increased traffic in the area with delays of up to 25 minutes.
