Heat Advisory and Warning in Effect for North Bay Until Friday Night

An excessive heat warning is in effect for the North Bay interior mountains through eight o’clock tomorrow night. The National Weather Service is warning of “dangerously hot” temperatures in parts of Sonoma and Napa Counties, where some areas could reach nearly 110 degrees. The other, non-coastal areas of the North Bay will be under a heat advisory, also through eight o’clock tomorrow night. Daytime temperatures could reach 95 to 105 degrees. But, there should be more of a cool-down overnight compared to in the interior mountains.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District issued a Spare the Air alert for the North Bay through Thursday due to the unhealthy levels of ozone.
