Park Fire 18-Percent Contained at Nearly 390,000 Acres

Progress is slowly coming on one of California’s largest wildfires. The Park Fire is 18-percent contained after scorching more than 389-thousand acres since last Wednesday. That’s bigger than Los Angeles and about 12 times the size of San Francisco. It is impacting the counties of Butte, Tehama, Shasta, and Plumas.

Evacuation orders were lifted in the town of Paradise… which was leveled in 2018 by the historic Camp Fire that killed 85 people. Temperatures in the Sacramento Valley and foothills will be rising today and will be in the low hundreds Thursday through early next week.
