Park Fire Tops 400,000 Acres and is 34-Percent Contained

The Park Fire has now burned 401-thousand acres of land and is 34-percent contained. Between Butte and Tehama Counties, the fire has destroyed 640 structures and damaged 52 others. Cal Fire is confident those numbers are accurate, saying damage inspections are 100-percent complete. Fire activity picked up during the weekend due to triple-digit temperatures and humidity between ten and 20-percent. The Park Fire, the fourth largest wildfire in California history, has now been burning for 12 days.
