A Santa Rosa home has been severely damaged from an attic fire, displacing two adults and a child. The blaze was reported Monday afternoon on the 3700 block of Alta Vista Avenue with part of the fire spreading to nearby vegetation. Fortunately, firefighters were able to prevent further spread and attacked the fire in the home, cutting holes into the roof for ventilation. The fire was brought under control in approximately forty-five minutes, however firefighters remained on scene for nearly three hours conducting extensive overhaul and extinguishment. Over $400-thousand worth of damages were done. No injuries reported.
