Santa Rosa City Schools Considers Paying Student Board Members

The Santa Rosa City Schools Board is considering paying its student board members. A proposed policy calls for student board members receiving close to 65-hundred-dollars per year and academic credits. Right now, the district’s board has just one student member, Ome Zuniga. The Santa Rosa High School senior is the son of Trustee Alegría De La Cruz. The board is looking into adding a second student board member, which would double the potential new budget expense.
