Governor Newsom Declares State of Emergency in Lake County for Boyles Fire Victims

New help is on the way for victims of a Northern California wildfire. Governor Newsom has declared a state of emergency in Lake County. This is where the Boyles Fire tore through the city of Clearlake three weeks ago, burning dozens of homes and cars. A federal grant was already secured to ensure crews had resources they needed. The proclamation will help with unemployment benefits and waive fees to replace documents.
