Chevron Speaks Out Against New Gas Supply Law in California

Chevron is reacting to California’s new law that requires oil companies to maintain a gasoline surplus. The oil giant issued a statement saying it was disappointed lawmakers approved the measure. The statement calls the move “another example of political decision-making that ignores the realities of the market and needs of consumers in California and neighboring states.” Chevron executives believe the new law will likely raise prices for California drivers and those in Nevada and Arizona.
