Petaluma is ending its Reusable Cup Project next week. The pilot program started in August and officials hail it as a huge success in helping to reduce single-use plastic waste. About 30 businesses have been giving purple reusable cups to their customers and more than 150-thousand were returned within the first two months. The purple bins will remain on the street a few more weeks to so people can drop off any extra cups they have.
