The Sonoma County Farm Bureau confirms it locked its doors after a threatening email was sent to the No on J strategic planning committee. The incident happened on Monday but was not announced by the Farm Bureau until Tuesday. The person who sent the email said they were tired of receiving mail ads and threatened to come to the offices with a gun and resolve the issue if they received another flyer in the mail. No on J organizers say the phone number and email address the sender provided do not appear to be valid. The passing of Measure J would eliminate so-called “factory farming” in Sonoma County, limiting the size of poultry farms and dairies.
