Most farmworkers at Reynoso Vineyards, who were owed thousands in back wages, have finally been paid before Christmas.
The workers, represented by North Bay Jobs with Justice, had been owed wages since last spring due to the winery’s recent financial difficulties and subsequent bankruptcies. Reynoso Vineyards owner Joe Reynoso stated that he was working diligently to repay his employees and cited unforeseen business challenges as the cause of the delayed payments.
North Bay Jobs with Justice praised the workers’ perseverance and highlighted the importance of standing up for their rights. The organization continues to assist those workers who have not yet received their full wages.
