Sonoma County will receive $5.7 million in federal funding to upgrade Apron C at Charles M. Schulz Airport.
The apron, where planes park and undergo maintenance, is outdated and in poor condition. The project will expand the apron to accommodate increased airline service and improve safety.
Construction is expected to begin next spring and be completed by fall 2026.
