The Santa Rosa Police Department is investigating an attempted sexual assault that occurred early Monday morning.
The incident took place near the intersection of Jennings Avenue and Marlow Road. The victim was walking when an unknown man approached her, followed her, and then attempted to assault her.
The victim was able to fight him off and escape. The suspect is described as a man in his 30s. Detectives are seeking witnesses and any available video evidence.
The SRPD is urging the public to be vigilant and take precautions when walking at night, such as staying in well-lit areas, walking with a friend, and being aware of their surroundings.
