Santa Rosa added more than 13-hundred new housing units in 2024.
That’s nearly double the number of new homes the city added to its housing stock in 2023. Last year, across the city, dozens of new housing developments either opened or had construction begin. About 71% of the new units are apartments. The city now has a housing stock of about 72-thousand units.
Santa Rosa has to plan for nearly 47-hundred new housing units by 2031 due to state-mandated housing goals.
