Firefighters rescued an unconscious man from a burning home on Petaluma Boulevard North Tuesday night.
Crews from the Rancho Adobe Fire District responded to heavy fire and smoke coming from the residence. The victim was found unconscious but breathing inside the home and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes, but the home suffered significant damage and is now uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
