A Santa Rosa man is facing serious charges after a police chase that involved gunfire.
Emilio Torres, 23, is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint and fleeing the scene in the victim’s minivan. Police pursued Torres, who allegedly fired a single shot from a handgun while running from officers on the Joe Rodota Trail. No officers were injured in the incident.
Torres was eventually apprehended and faces multiple felony charges, including robbery, discharging a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month to enter a plea.
