Sonoma County Supervisor James Gore Announces Bid For State Senate

Sonoma County Supervisor James Gore is announcing his bid for state Senate.

Gore wants the seat currently held by Mike McGuire, who will be termed out of the state legislature in two years. Gore is the first candidate to publicly declare for the seat. But, several other local and state officials are expected to compete against him.

Santa Rosa City Councilmember Natalie Rogers, Healdsburg City Councilmember Ariel Kelley, California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks and Assemblymember Damon Connolly are all interested in the seat.
