The redevelopment of the former Sonoma Developmental Center in Glen Ellen faces another legal challenge.
Sonoma Valley Next 100, a local non-profit, has filed a lawsuit against the state, arguing that the state agency failed to adhere to the approved development plan for the site. This new legal action comes on the heels of a previous lawsuit filed by community groups, which successfully challenged the project’s environmental impact report.
The proposed development includes over 900 homes and a 150-room hotel, which has drawn significant opposition from local residents concerned about the project’s scale and impact on the surrounding environment.
