Glenny Whitmire Green, Petaluma’s first-ever Egg Bowl Queen, passed away peacefully at her Washington state home on January 10th. She was 94 years old.
Glenny, a Petaluma High School graduate, was crowned Egg Bowl Queen in 1948, an honor she cherished throughout her life. She went on to become a teacher, dedicating 34 years to educating elementary school students in San Jose and Washington.
Glenny was also a passionate singer, performing in quartets and choruses for many years. Family and friends remembered her for her kindness, love, and support.
