Healdsburg Resident Sues City Council, City Attorney & City Manager

A Healdsburg resident is suing the Healdsburg City Council, City Attorney and City Manager.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday by Jon Eisenberg, claims the council violated California’s open meetings law, the Brown Act. It also alleges an improper use of taxpayer funds and a failure to produce requested public records. Eisenberg’s attorneys say, since last May, the council and city staff have showed a “pattern of misbehavior that is deeply embedded in the culture of Healdsburg’s city government.”

They go on to say that has led to “tainted decision-making” when it comes to placing the housing-related Measure O on the ballot and the city’s current effort to switch to district-based council elections.
