Two drivers are recovering from major injuries after a head-on collision near Santa Rosa late Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Fulton Road, south of River Road. The CHP believes a northbound Infiniti G35 crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting a Honda Civic.
The Infiniti’s driver, 24-year-old Christian Cortes Torres, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI after showing signs of intoxication. He was taken to a hospital for his injuries and not immediately booked into jail. The driver of the Honda Civic was also hospitalized.
While both drivers suffered major injuries, they are not life-threatening. The crash occurred on a 25 mph zone, and investigators are looking into whether speed was a factor.
