Flooding has forced the evacuation of several patients from Sutter Airway Drive Medical Center in Santa Rosa.
The Santa Rosa Fire Department started performing rescues on Tuesday afternoon, after the parking lot of the facility flooded, cutting off access to its entrances. The parking lot of the neighboring Hampton Inn Hotel also flooded.
Firefighters rescued multiple patients in wheelchairs. People stuck inside two cars were also rescued after they tried and failed to drive through the floodwaters. There are no reports of any injuries.
