Water is flowing into Lake Berryessa’s spillway, known as the “Glory Hole,” for the first time since February of 2019.
It happened Tuesday night, after the area received two inches of rain throughout the day. The lake’s water level has to reach 440 feet for water to gush into the spillway. It came close to happening last year, but missed by a few inches. Water was still flowing into the spillway on Wednesday.
The Glory Hole drains into Putah Creek.
