A touch of green is coming to downtown Santa Rosa. Blooming Coast, a plant business born from grief and nurtured by community, is opening its first brick-and-mortar shop. Owner Ana Prado, a former Marine, turned her love of her late grandmother’s plants into a thriving venture, starting with a social media page and pop-up markets.
Now, after four years, Blooming Coast is setting down roots on Fourth Street, joining Espressioso’s coffee and Buck Lucky Collective. The shop will offer indoor and outdoor plants, starter kits, and handcrafted Mexican artwork and jewelry, reflecting Prado’s heritage.
This isn’t just a business for Prado; it’s a way to share her family’s story and create a community hub. She and her fellow business owners are planning events like open mic nights and crafting workshops, aiming to bring new life to downtown Santa Rosa. Blooming Coast is expected to open its doors in early April.
