Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to Hold Budget Talks in June

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will be holding a series of budget hearings in June.

Supervisors will consider adopting the 2025-2026 fiscal year budget, which takes effect on July 1st. The total proposed budget is two-point-seven billion dollars. That is a three-point-eight percent increase from the county’s current two-point-five-billion-dollar budget.

Close to 336-million dollars in funding for county programs and services would come from the federal government. The full impact of federal cuts is still unclear, though at least three-point-six-million dollars in federal funding has already been cut. Federal cuts are expected to impact staffing and services to the public in the county’s largest departments.
